Types and Applications of Electric Plastic Butterfly Valves

Electric plastic butterfly valves are not suitable for pipelines with high temperatures and pressures. Depending on the material, they generally have a temperature range of -5°C to 80°C and a pressure range of up to 1.2 MPa. Common valve body materials include PPR, PVDF, PPH, CPVC, and UPVC. The connection method is usually wafer type with centerline. All parts are assembled from injection-molded components, and the sealing ring is made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), which has better corrosion resistance than stainless steel valves and other valves.
Electric plastic butterfly valves are particularly suitable for clean liquids and gases, and the medium should not contain particulate impurities, otherwise it may cause the sealing ring to be scratched, leading to leakage. For applications with highly corrosive media, electric fluorine-lined butterfly valves are also excellent choices in harsh process environments. If the application requires higher pressure or temperature, electric hard-sealed butterfly valves can be selected. If the medium in the pipeline or environment is flammable or explosive, explosion-proof electric butterfly valves should be used.
